PURPOSE: A light emitting diode package including a constant current protection chip is provided to improve device reliability by preventing the damage of an LED chip. CONSTITUTION: An upper housing (12) forms a cavity space. At least two electrode pads are bonded onto the upper surface of a lower housing. At least one light emitting diode chip (14) is mounted on one of the electrode pads. A constant current protection chip (15) is electrically connected in series to the light emitting diode chip. At least one electrode lead is extended to the electrode pads.
