PURPOSE: An equipment monitoring system and a method thereof prevent the degradation of an operating rate by efficiently monitoring the operation conditions of equipment and rapidly recognizing malfunctions. CONSTITUTION: An equipment monitoring system includes a display unit (130); an audio output unit (140); equipment (110) including a tower lamp displaying operation conditions; and a monitoring device (120) transceiving a signal indicting the operation condition of the equipment by using a programmable logic controller (PLC) module (123). The PLC module includes a control program monitoring the operation condition of the equipment based on the transceived signal and outputting a monitored result through either or both the display unit or/and the audio output unit.
