The invention provides an electric connector for a flat conductor, a signal terminal of which is able to transmit the signal at a high speed. The position selection and switch between the electric connector and a supporting terminal is carried out. The signal terminal 20 extends in the fore-and-after direction and is provided with an arm-shaped member 30A with a contacting part 22 and a connecting part 21. Besides the arm part, a supporting arm part 35 positioned at an opposite side of the arm part relative to the flat conductor and a connecting part 34 for connecting the supporting arm part and the arm part in a terminal groove are also provided. A movable member 50 for pressing the flat conductor is formed on the front end part of the supporting arm part; the supporting part 36 could support the movable member 50 to be rotatable; a part of the signal terminal 20 and the supporting terminal 30 between the contacting part and the connecting part has a fixed part 23, 33 which is pressed toward a corresponding fixing part 19 of the terminal groove 18; and the terminal groove allows insertion of the signal terminal and the ground terminal with an adaptive shape. |
