PURPOSE: A jig apparatus for large size thin plate tempered glasses is provided to safely support large size thin plate tempered glasses of 60 inches or higher even when glasses are thermally expanded or shrunk during a chemical reinforcement process by using a jig plate and a jig rod. CONSTITUTION: A jig apparatus for large size thin plate tempered glasses (2) comprises a frame (4), jig plates (10), and jig rods (12). The jig plate has insertion grooves (24) which inserts side end of the glass. The insertion grooves are formed with 20-30 mm gaps along the longitudinal direction of the inner ends of boards which are vertically equipped in both parts of the frame. Each insertion groove is formed with a width of 3-8mm and a depth of 18-23mm and the inner section of the insertion groove is formed with curved surface. The plurality of jig rods is equipped in the lower part of the frame to support the lower end of the glass. Holding grooves (26) are formed along the outer periphery of the jig rods. The holding grooves are formed with identical sized gaps. Each holding grooves are formed with 2-3mm of width and depth. |
