PURPOSE: A mobile device for creating a multi-stage maximum transfer unit (MTU) and a data transmitting method using the same are provided to prevent the degradation of a communication speed of networks due to a small MTU of a specific network because changing the MTU of the networks is not necessary by creating packets for a specific network path with a virtual interface. CONSTITUTION: A mobile device (10) has a network protocol layer including an internet protocol (IP)(160), a virtual interface (170), a network interface (180), and an MTU management part (190). The IP has a routing table. The virtual interface receives data packets from the IP. The network interface receives the data packets of the IP directly or through the virtual interface. The MTU management part controls the routing table, the virtual interface, and the network interface. The MTU of the virtual interface is set according to a communication network.
