A liquid crystal panel is provided to improve display quality by preventing a phenomenon that stripes are recognized due to black matrixes. A first substrate(131) includes gate lines(102) to which scan signals are provided, data lines(104) crossing the gate lines, to which data voltages are applied, and subpixels defined by the gate lines and the data lines. In this case, the pixel pitch in the direction of the gate line is larger than that in the direction of the data line. The second substrate(141) includes black matrixes(106) formed to correspond to the gate lines and the data lines. Liquid crystal molecules(103) are formed between the first and second substrates and driven by an electric field between the first and second substrates. The width of the black matrixes corresponding to the gate lines is narrower than those of the black matrixes corresponding to the data lines. |
