PURPOSE: An optical subscriber network is provided to enable users to manage plural optical network terminals using a simple protocol, and to reduce the power consumption. CONSTITUTION: An optical subscriber network comprises the following: a grouping unit(530) grouping more than one optical network terminal into more than one sleep group; a transmitting unit(510) multi-casting a sleep mode permission message to the optical network terminals in the sleep groups; and a receiving unit(520) receiving a response message for the sleep mode permission message transmitted from the optical network terminals in a uni-cast mode. |
