<p>PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing joint transmission are provided to check an entry or an exit of a terminal in a joint transmission area and to process a joint transmission service according to the entry and the exit. CONSTITUTION: A system for providing joint transmission comprises a signal information receiving unit, a terminal location storing unit, a timer (120), an entry/exit checking unit. The signal information receiving unit receives first signal information that a terminal transmits to a first base station and second signal information that the terminal transmits to a second base station. The timer changes a pause state into an operation state and provides time information. The entry/exit checking unit confirms identification information of the terminal based on the first signal information and the second signal information and checks information of a previous location of the terminal which is stored in the terminal location storing unit. The entry/exit checking unit checks whether the terminal exits from or enters a joint transmission area based on signal reception strength information included in the first signal information or the second signal information and the time information received from the timer.
