<p>The method involves generating noise perceived in a passenger compartment (16) of a motor vehicle equipped with a hybrid thermal-pneumatic engine (M) similar to noise generated by the engine in a thermal engine operating mode when the engine is in a pneumatic engine operating mode, where a noise level and/or frequency spectrum of the generated noise is/are function of a control parameter e.g. engine torque and engine speed, of the vehicle or operation of the engine. Sounds in the compartment are synthesized and diffused by audio systems (14, 15). An independent claim is also included for a device for managing a sound environment in a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle.</p> |
