The unit has a conveying tank (1) that is intended to receive a raw material e.g. cocoa, to be extracted. The conveying tank includes a filtration unit (2) so as to filter obtained extract. The filtration unit includes a balloon (3) arranged upstream of the tank. A receiving unit (4) is arranged downstream from the conveying tank and is utilized for receiving filtrates of the conveying tank so as to bring the filtrates to an atmospheric pressure. A condenser (5) is arranged to condense light fractions emitted at the time of setting of the filtrates with atmospheric pressure. An independent claim is also included for a method for subcritical water extraction.
