PURPOSE: A high definition (HD) video stream wire-wireless transmission system which uses a 5.8GHz and a master/slave device thereof are provided to enable a TV or smart devices as well as a PC to share a full image service by mutually transmitting an HD image signal through a wire/wireless interface. CONSTITUTION: A master device for wire/wireless transmission (3) includes a wide area network (WAN) interface, a LAN port for a connection of a first terminal, and a high definition multimedia interface (HDMI) for a connection of second terminals (7-10) which supply an HD video stream source. The master device for wire/wireless transmission selects an HD video stream of the second terminal and wirelessly transmits a compressed video stream in a 5.8GHz WiFi signal after the moving picture experts group (MPEG) compression of the video stream. Slave devices for wire/wireless transmission (14-16) receive the 5.8GHz WiFi signal and perform the MPEG decoding of the received signal. The slave devices for wire/wireless transmission deliver an HD image stream to receivers (18-20) through the HDMI.
