PURPOSE: A secure information transmitting method is provided to secure secrecy as being able to perform lightened authentication and mutual authentication. CONSTITUTION: A meter data management system encodes and transmits smart meter identification number or user information. The meter data management system communicates with a commercial power supply terminal, and checks whether a smart meter is a fare smart meter or not by being compared with the smart meter identification number or the user information provided by the commercial power supply terminal, and authenticates and registers the smart meter. The meter data management system issues and stores the smart meter identification number or secret information corresponding to the smart meter identification number, and transmits intelligent metering infrastructure headend identification number acquired through the secrete information to the smart meter together with the secrete information. The smart meter performs authentication of power usage amount information with the intelligent metering infrastructure headend by using the intelligent infrastructure headend identification number before transmitting the power usage amount information to the meter data management system.
