PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system which is constituted with a simple structure, can be used in a space-saving manner, and can perform power generation of high energy efficiency.SOLUTION: In a power generation system, specific gravity of water is increased by mixing a specific gravity imparting component with water stored in a first water storage section, and the water with its specific gravity increased is made to flow down into a second water storage section provided below the first water storage section. Power generation is executed by a power generation unit provided between the first and second water storage sections, and the water stored in the second water storage section due to the flowing down from the first water storage section to the second water storage section is pumped up to the first water storage section via a water pumping unit provided between the first and second water storage sections, and the water is stored in the first water storage section. |
