PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content viewing control method for controlling viewing of a content without arranging special facilities on a broadcast station side and to provide a broadcasting system, a recording/reproducing apparatus and a program.SOLUTION: In a content viewing control method, a broadcast station transmits a specific signal to a first broadcast specification section where a first content is broadcast. A receiver records reception of the specific signal during selection of the broadcast station. The receiver determines whether the reception of the specific signal is recorded or not when a second content broadcast in a second broadcast specification section is viewed. When the reception of the specific signal is not recorded, a prescribed image is superposed on a video of the second content.
