PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device and an electronic apparatus which can improve display quality.SOLUTION: The electro-optic device has a pixel and a transistor. The transistor comprises: a semiconductor layer 30a provided on a first substrate 10a and including LDD regions 30s1 and 30d1; a gate insulating film 11g provided so as to cover the semiconductor layer 30a; a gate electrode 30g provided on a part of a region on the gate insulating film 11g; side wall oxide films 40a and 40b composed of an insulating film and provided so as to cover the gate electrode 30g; a light shielding film 17 provided so as to planarly overlap at least a pixel electrode side LDD region 30d1; and a pixel electrode electrically connected to the semiconductor layer 30a. A part of the gate insulating film 11g between the light shielding film 17 and the pixel electrode side LDD region 30d1 has a film thickness equal to or thinner than that of a part of the gate insulating film 11g between the gate electrode 30g and the semiconductor layer 30a. |
