PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake strengthening method of a building, capable of improving workability and safety.SOLUTION: The earthquake strengthening method of a building is for forming a braced frame 1 for a building B having an existing cantilever slab 20 projected in a direction orthogonal to a beam-column frame surface, and includes the steps of: forming a brace 10 in an inverted chevron shape in an elevation view, for supporting the cantilever slab 20 from a lower part; removing at least a part of an existing slab support beam 23 which supports the cantilever slab 20; forming a frame column 11 corresponding to a removed part of the existing slab support beam 23; and forming the braced frame 1 by connecting a frame beam 12 formed between the cantilever slab 20 and an upper end part of a brace 10 to the frame column 11. |
