PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency in vector processing.SOLUTION: A vector processor comprises: an instruction control part 30 for controlling execution of a vector instruction that includes information for specifying a range of a use element of a vector register; a storage pointer generation part 40 for generating a storage pointer that indicates a position of the use element of the vector register; and an instruction execution part 50 that includes multiple vector pipelines which respectively include multiple vector registers arranged dispersively and execute parallel processing. The storage pointer generation part 40 refers to the vector instruction to control the storage pointer so as to store an element of a following vector instruction string subsequent to the element of the preceding vector instruction in each specified range of the use element of the vector registers. The instruction execution part 50 stores an element in the vector register in accordance with the storage pointer. |
