PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixation device capable of preventing meandering of a fixation belt and also preventing breakage of the fixation belt.SOLUTION: A fixation device includes: a loop belt-like fixation belt 33 having flexibility; a substantially-cylindrical supporting member for rotatably supporting the fixation belt 33 while making surface-contact with an inner peripheral surface of the fixation belt 33; a pressure member for forming a nip part with the supporting member while sandwiching the fixation belt 33; and a flange 38 arranged facing an end face E at an end portion 33b in a thrust direction of the fixation belt 33 and regulating movement of the fixation belt 33 in the thrust direction. The fixation device fixes an image onto a recording material carrying the image at the nip part, and further includes an expansion member 43 for flexibly holding an end face in the thrust direction of the fixation belt 33 at the flange 38.
