[Problem] To provide spherical zinc oxide particles of aggregated lamellar zinc oxide which are suitable for use in cosmetics, heat-dissipating fillers and the like, and a method for preparing same. [Solution] Spherical zinc oxide particles of aggregated lamellar zinc oxide which have a median diameter of at least 0.01 mum and a particle size distribution such that D90/D10 is 5.0 or less.
