PURPOSE: An articulated robot and a device for protecting a cable thereof are provided to minimize the abrasion of a cable assembly by a ring frame support unit, a protective cap unit, and a protective cover so that the length of the cable assembly is not required to be excessively extended. CONSTITUTION: An articulated robot comprises articulated rotary arms (20, 30, 40, 50, 60), a cable assembly, a pair of protective cap units (120), and a ring frame protective unit (100). A pair of protective cap units is formed to surround both sides of a joint shaft unit of the articulated rotary arms to come in contact with the cable assembly when the articulated rotary arms rotate. The ring frame protective unit includes a ring frame (101) and a connecting shaft unit (102). The ring frame is formed in a rounded shape to the outer circumference of the joint shaft unit of the articulated rotary arms to become in contact with the cable assembly when the articulated rotary arms rotate and surrounds the same by being separated and the outer cross section in a radial direction is formed in a round metal material frame. The connecting shaft unit is extended to the inner side of the ring frame and is rotatably connected to the protective cap units. |
