PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reading performance of a storage system.SOLUTION: A storage system of the present invention includes: overlapping determination means for determining that block data to be newly stored overlaps when block data obtained by dividing a file to be newly stored has the same data content as that of data already stored, and moreover, an attribute of the file to be newly stored is the same as that of an attribute of a file already stored; and data storage control means for storing the block data to be newly stored in a storage unit when it is determined that such overlapping does not exist, and causing data already stored to be referred to as block data to be newly stored when it is determined that such overlapping exits. The overlapping determination means determines whether or not block data to be newly stored overlaps on the basis of combined data obtained by combining block data and attribute identification data used for identifying a preset attribute of a file as a division source of the block data. |
