A method for providing a user selection-type matching service in an online game, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: a server for providing the user selection-type matching service transmitting to a terminal of a user requesting a battle, a battle counterpart information input interface, which is an interface for receiving an input of battle counterpart information desired by the user, when a battle counterpart matching request signal is received from the terminal of the user requesting the battle that is connected; determining whether a battle counterpart user, who is matched to the battle counterpart information, exists on a database to which the battle counterpart user is pre-saved, when the battle counterpart information is received from the terminal of the user requesting the battle; and matching the game of the battle counterpart user, who is searched, with that of the battle request user. |
