The present invention relates to a method and server for providing an item reuse service in an on-line game. The method by which a game operating server provides an item reuse service in an online game includes the steps of: detecting the completion of an online game in the user's terminal and providing an item reuse selection menu for game compensation to the user's terminal; receiving an input for at least one item reuse from among a plurality of item reuses included in the item reuse selection menu from the user's terminal; determining whether event entry is possible for the selected item reuse; providing to the user's terminal a selection menu for event entry when event entry is possible for the selected item reuse; and receiving the event entry selection from the user's terminal and outputting a message of event entry completion to the user's terminal.
