<p>A technology for changing an item to a recommended item in an online game is disclosed. A method of changing an item according to the present invention relates to changing an item in an online game that is played by a plurality of users who access an online game server through clients. The method includes: receiving from a client a request for obtaining a new item by using at least one candidate item among items used in the online game; transmitting to the client a list of desired items that include at least one recommended item related to a further benefit, as a list of at least one desired item that is needed for obtaining the new item, if the request for obtaining the new item is received; determining by applying a certain success probability to the candidate items received from the client whether an attempt to obtain the new item is successful; and providing different benefits to the user according to whether the recommended item is included in the candidate items, if the attempt to obtain the new item is successful. According to the present invention, it is possible to adjust the number of items used in a game and it is possible to properly maintain the values of items used in the online game.</p> |
