The socket (100) has support legs (140) suspended on an exterior collar (160) for partially creating a socket cup. Multiple resilient tabs (130) extend from the exterior collar into a ball stud receiving opening. Each resilient tab includes a ball stud contact surface and a journaling surface. A ball stud is subjected to pull-out force when the ball stud is arranged in the socket. The ball stud contact surface and the journaling surface contact the ball stud such that press- and rotational forces are transferred to the resilient tab.
