The road finisher has an air flow path (X) whose discharge line (11) comprises intake opening (12) above the transverse distributor (7) and an outlet port (18) at a height above the cab (1). A fan (13) is arranged in the region of suction opening of discharge line of air flow path. The fan has an intake manifold standing freely in space as a suction intake opening so that the vertical distance between intake opening and top of transverse distributor is more than 80 cm to form suction path for steam exhaust (10) for ambient air rousing flow field by the distributor to intake opening.
