PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of an epoxy resin is provided to manufacture a crystalline epoxy resin with low melt viscosity, excellent reactivity, excellent heat resistance, excellent moisture resistance, and self-extinguishing property. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of an epoxy resin includes a step of manufacturing a compound represented by chemical formula 1 by dissolving a compound represented by chemical formula 4 into epichlorohydrin and conduct an epoxidation to manufacture a compound represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1 is -H or a C-10 alkyl group; n is an integer from 0-50; m is an integer from 0-2. The content of a material of which n is 0 is 60 wt% or greater in the epoxy resin represented by chemical formula 1, the content of para-para bonds is 80 wt% or greater in the epoxy resin represented by chemical formula 1, and m is an integer from 0-2.
