An electrode containing a mixed transition metal-lithium silicate having plate-like structure is placed in a battery housing. A carbon electrode comprising carbon nano-fiber core having a silicon layer and a protective layer is further mounted, and lithium ion battery is produced. An electrode containing a mixed transition metal-lithium silicate (Li 2M xM' 1 - xSiO 4, M and M' are transition metals having different oxidation states) having plate-like structure is placed in a battery housing. A carbon electrode comprising carbon nano-fiber core having a silicon layer and a protective layer is further mounted, and lithium ion battery is produced. |
