<p>The present invention enables the execution of a rebuild process using the RAID function without impacting the recording of material data in a memory unit subject to a rebuild. This video server device includes a table generating means, a rebuild processing means, and a rebuild control means. During the recording of material data, the table generating means generates a management table in which a material ID specifying the material data is associated with the location in the memory unit where the material data is written. If at least one of n+1 storage devices fails, the rebuild processing means executes a rebuild process to restore the material data of the failed storage device. When the rebuild processing means generates a rebuild start request, the rebuild control means refers to the management table, and controls the execution and stopping of the rebuild process performed by the rebuild processing means for each unit of material data on the basis of the result of referring to the management table.</p> |
