The plug-in rack has a position sensor that is provided for detecting the positions of module switching device containing switching actuators. Specific switching actuator is operated upon detection of the position sensor that the module switching device is in connected position, such that a display device (50) is moved into a connected display position (VE). Other switching actuator is operated upon detection of position sensor that the module switching device is in non-connected position, such that the display device is moved into a non-connected display position (NV). An independent claim is included for unit of plug-in rack and electrical module switching device.
