PURPOSE: An electronic parking brake for a vehicle is provided to prevent a cable operation member from being rotated during reciprocation when a brake is operated or stopped. CONSTITUTION: An electronic parking brake (100) comprises a drum assembly (110), a housing (120), a cable operating member (130), a driven gear (140), a driving gear (150), a driving unit (160), and a rotation preventing device (170). The drum assembly generates a frictional force between a drum (111) and a lining and brakes wheels. The housing is connected to the rear surface of the drum by penetrating the drum of the drum assembly. The cable operating member is connected to the driven gear and pushes or pulls a parking cable by being moved forward and backward by the rotation of the driven gear. The driven gear is installed on a space unit of the housing and is rotated by being connected to the driving gear. The driving gear is rotated by being connected to a driving shaft (161) of the driving unit. The driving unit is arranged on the outer periphery of the drum assembly and generates a driving force for braking of the parking brake. The rotation preventing device includes a guide slot (171) and a rotation preventing member (172). The guide slot is formed on the cable operating member in the longitudinal direction. The rotation preventing device is supported on the inner side surface of the housing by protruding from both sides of the guide slot and prevents the cable operating member from being rotated by the rotatory force of the driven gear. |
