PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray apparatus capable of quickly dealing with a next operation while avoiding resonance of a rotary anode.SOLUTION: An X-ray apparatus 1 comprises an X-ray tube device 17, a starter circuit 16 and a control circuit 18. The starter circuit 16 applies an AC voltage to a rotary anode in the case of imaging, performs rotational drive up to a predetermined rotation speed and applies a DC voltage in the case of braking. The control circuit 18 generates a control signal for driving, braking or inertially operating the rotary anode 20. After the end of imaging, the control circuit 18 performs control so as to inertially operate the rotary anode 20 from the rotation speed during imaging and to brake the rotary anode 20 only while the rotation speed is in the vicinity of a resonant frequency fof an X-ray tube. |
