This plastic polarizing lens comprises a polarizing film constituted of a thermoplastic polyester, a coating layer which comprises a urethane resin made up of structural units derived from a hydroxylated compound and structural units derived from an aromatic diisocyanate and which has been formed on at least one surface of the polarizing film, and a base layer which is constituted of a thiourethane resin and has been formed on at least the coating layer of the coated polarizing film.
