A simplified layout arises by means of a filter housing (6) which has an exhaust gas inlet (7), an exhaust gas outlet (8) and an inner chamber (9) in which the exhaust gas path (10) runs from the exhaust gas inlet (7) to the exhaust gas outlet (8) and in which the filter structure (11) is arranged.
