<p>[Problem] To accurately detect the degree of degradation of a secondary battery and also to accurately determine whether an engine can be started or not. [Solution] A secondary battery state detection device (1) for detecting the state of a secondary battery mounted on a vehicle has: a measuring means (voltage sensor (11), current sensor (12), CPU (10a)) for measuring the value of the internal resistance of the secondary battery when the engine stops; an estimation means (CPU (10a)) for estimating the value of a diffusion resistance attributable to ion diffusion occurring in an electrolyte of the secondary battery, by supplying power to the starter motor when the engine starts; and a calculation means (CPU (10a)) for calculating the starting voltage, which is a voltage required for starting the engine, from a resistance value obtained by adding the value of the diffusion resistance estimated by the estimation means to the value of the internal resistance measured by the measuring means, a starting current flowing when starting the engine, and the voltage of the secondary battery before starting the engine.</p> |
