PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position location system with improved position location accuracy.SOLUTION: A base unit 20, which is provided with a first antenna pair and a second antenna pair, measures a phase difference &Dgr;&thetas;1 between position location signals 900 received by respective antennas 251 of the first antenna pair and a phase difference &Dgr;&thetas;2 between position location signals 900 received by respective antennas 251 of the second antenna pair, determines a degree of multipath influence on each position location signal 900 on the basis of the phase difference &Dgr;&thetas;1 and the phase difference &Dgr;&thetas;2 measured for each of the position location signals 900 transmitted by a mobile terminal 30 from a plurality of different locations, selects a position location signal 900 least affected by multipath, and outputs a position location result based on the selected position location signal 900 as a position of a moving object 3. The degree of multipath influence is determined using a difference between or sum of the phase difference &Dgr;&thetas;1 and the phase difference &Dgr;&thetas;2 as an indicator. |
