PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily stabilize, in a configuration in which a circuit for adjusting a grid voltage and a circuit for adjusting a development voltage are serially connected, the grid voltage and the development voltage.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an electrification voltage generating circuit 200 for generating an electrification voltage applied to a wire 53; a grid voltage adjusting circuit 250 for adjusting a grid voltage applied to a grid electrode 55; a development voltage adjusting circuit 270 for adjusting a development voltage applied to a developing device 45; and a control device 110. The development voltage adjusting circuit 270 is so configured as to generate a development voltage by dividing the grid voltage. The control device 110 performs processing of adjusting, after applying the electrification voltage, the grid voltage and the development voltage via both the adjusting circuits 250 and 270, and moreover, causes a timing for starting control of the grid voltage by means of the grid voltage adjusting circuit 250 to be later than a timing for starting control of the development voltage by means of the development voltage adjusting circuit 270. |
