PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod which has a plate-shaped frame increasing at least one of width and thickness thereof from a top to a grip and has excellent strength.SOLUTION: A fishing rod 100 includes: a plate-shaped frame 110 which is formed of &bgr; titanium and increases its width from a front end 110T to a rear end 110G; and a plurality of fishing line guides 120a-120g arranged on one surface of the frame 110 along an extension direction of the frame 110 at intervals from each other. The frame 110 includes a reinforcing part 117 on the rear end 110G side, which has a rigidity larger than other parts resulting from having a cross-sectional shape different from that of the other parts or having a composition different from that of the other parts. |
