摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of emission of COgas into the atmosphere, and to suppress energy consumption, when producing quicklime.SOLUTION: A quicklime production apparatus 1 includes on the outside of a furnace (body) 21, an external heating kiln 2 formed by winding a coil 22 for heating the inside of a furnace by electromagnetic induction heating, and a limestone supply apparatus for supplying limestone C into the external heating kiln, and can also include a COrecovery system 5 for recovering COfrom exhaust gas G3 of the external heating kiln. A dust collector 3 for collecting dust from exhaust gas G1 of the external heating kiln, and a circulation route 6 for returning exhaust gas G2' of the dust collector into the external heating kiln are provided to circulate COgas into the external heating kiln to be concentrated, and to thereby heighten furthermore the COconcentration in the kiln exhaust gas. A power generating device for generating power by recovering heat from the exhaust gas of the external heating kiln is provided, and a power is fed to the coil 22 from the power generating device, to thereby reduce production cost of quicklime.
