PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a power failure protection device and method which can prevent a phenomenon of abnormal power-off or instantaneous power interruption caused by operation of a load with high power consumption; and an electronic device to which the power failure protection device is applied.SOLUTION: A power failure protection device comprises: a detection unit for generating a detecting voltage; a storage unit for storing a voltage change amount, a time and a power-off threshold voltage; and a comparison unit for determining whether the detecting voltage is equal to the power-off threshold voltage and generating a time count signal. The comparison unit determines whether the detecting voltage acquired during a predetermined time period is smaller than the power-off threshold voltage, and brings an electronic device into an operating state or a power-off state.
