PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise cut off efficiency while suppressing denaturation of rubber due to frictional heat.SOLUTION: A rubber cut off method has: a first step S1 of forming a plurality of through holes 14 which penetrate from the side of one end 10A to the side of the other end 10B of a rubber member 10 in the thickness direction along the outer edge of a cut off object part 12; a second step S2 of inserting a string-like member 16 into two through holes 14 so that the string-like member 16 extend over two through holes 14A and 14B adjacent to each other of the plurality of through holes 14 on the side of the other end 10B in the thickness direction; a third step S3 of performing the second step S2 to two through holes 14B and 14C and through holes 14C and 14D adjacent to each other which become other combinations of the two through holes 14 by using other string-like members 18 and 20; and a fourth step S4 of holding the ends of the string-like member 16 extended from the side of the one end 10A, respectively, and extracting the ends from the side of the other end 10B in the direction on the side of the one end 10A to cut off parts between the two through holes 14, respectively. |
