A glass substrate for a Cu-In-Ga-Se solar cell according to the present invention contains, in mass % in terms of oxide content, 45 to 70% of SiO2, 11 to 20% of Al2O3, 0.5% or less of B2O3, 0 to 6% of MgO, 4 to 12% of CaO, 5 to 20% of SrO, 0 to 6% of BaO, 0 to 8% of ZrO2, 4.5 to 10% of Na2O, 3.5 to 15% of K2O, MgO + CaO + SrO + BaO in the total amount of 10 to 30%, and Na2O + K2O in the total amount of 8 to 20%, wherein the Na2O/K2O ratio is 0.7 to 2.0, a value determined by the formula (2×Na2O (content in mass%) - 2×MgO (content in mass%) - CaO (content in mass%)) × (Na2O (content in mass%)/K2O (content in mass%)) is 3 to 22, the glass transition temperature is 640 to 700°C, the average thermal expansion coefficient is 60×10-7 to 110×10-7/°C, and the density is 2.45 to 2.9 g/cm3 or less. In a solar cell according to the present invention, the glass substrate is used. |
