The gearbox (1) has a spindle (2) and a spindle nut (3) provided with an outer profile (9) and an inner profile (10), respectively. Profile sections (8) are meshed with the outer and inner profiles. Planetary rolling elements (4) are arranged at a planetary carrier (5). An axial shift between the spindle nut and the spindle around an axial path is forced along a longitudinal axis of the spindle during a relative twist between the spindle and the spindle nut, forced by a drive device. The planetary carrier is rotationally blocked with respect to the spindle nut by a locking device (11). An independent claim is also included for a hydrostatic actuator.
