The method comprises: acquiring charging state information, where the charging state information comprises a current power level, a rated capacity, and a charging power (401); B. acquiring a predetermined charging mode and a charging demand, and calculating a charging time period and/or an estimated cost on the basis of the predetermined charging mode, of the charging demand, and of the charging state information (402); C. transmitting the charging time period and/or the estimated cost to the communication device (403); D. acquiring charging instruction information from the communication device (404); and, E. if the predetermined charging mode is selected in the charging instruction, then performing charging in the predetermined charging mode for the motor vehicle (405).
