PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slit disc of an encoder which contributes to compactification, is inexpensively manufactured, makes slit width of the encoder into higher accuracy, and performs precise control of angular velocity, linear movement, etc. and the encoder using the slit disc.SOLUTION: In a slit disc of an encoder which converts mechanical displacement of a movable object into an electric pulse signal by using reflected light of light emitted from a light source, the slit disc has a high reflectance part and a low reflectance part. The high reflectance part is a smooth surface, and the low reflectance part is a rugged surface on which fine irregularities are periodically formed. |
