PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detector for a brake negative pressure sensor that can satisfactorily detect the abnormality of the brake negative pressure sensor in a vehicle having an automatic braking function.SOLUTION: Whether automatic brake control is under execution is determined to determine whether abnormality has occurred to a brake negative pressure sensor 27. Further, whether the amount of output variation of the brake negative pressure sensor 27 during the operation of a brake 7 is within a range of a predetermined amount or less is determined. As long as the automatic brake control is under execution, even if the amount of output variation of the brake negative pressure sensor 27 is the predetermined amount or less, the occurrence of abnormality to the brake negative pressure sensor 27 is not determined. When the amount of output variation of the brake negative pressure sensor 27 is the predetermined amount or less during the operation of the brake 7 not based on the automatic brake control, that is, during the operation of the brake 7 based on a driver's brake operation, the occurrence of abnormality to the brake negative pressure sensor 27 is determined. |
