PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle gas pedal apparatus that can accelerate a vehicle so as to reduce an uncomfortable feeling allied to a driver when the gas pedal is further pressed when an automatic transmission is shifted down by kickdown.SOLUTION: An gas pedal apparatus 1 includes a throttle valve driving device 8a for adjusting the throttle opening, a reaction force generating device 3 for applying a pedal reaction force to an gas pedal operating unit 2, and a control device 4 for controlling the throttle valve driving device 8a according to the pressing operation of the gas pedal operating unit 2, controlling the reaction force generating device 3 to generate a maximum value of the pedal reaction force when the pressing operation amount reaches a predetermined specific operation amount, and shifting down an AT 7. Further, when the pressing operation amount exceeds a specific operation amount, the control device 4 reduces the change amount of the throttle opening according to the change amount of the pressing operation amount compared to the amount before it exceeds the specific operation amount. |
