PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material having excellent foamability, moldability, and low thermal conductivity.SOLUTION: A building material as heat insulator is formed of a foam molding including a styrene resin and graphite. The content of graphite relative to the total amount of the styrene resin and graphite is: (1) 3 to 15% by weight in the entire foam molding; and satisfies the following expression: (2) X≥1.1×Y, where X% by weight represents the amount of graphite contained in the entire foam molding and Y% by weight represents the amount of graphite contained in the surface layer part. |
