PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent user data from being read when an authentication key is decrypted, and to prevent such a situation that it is not possible to unlock the authentication key.SOLUTION: A disk array device includes: a first storage part for storing encrypted user data; a second storage part different from the first storage part for locking and storing constitution information including an encrypted first authentication key for unlocking the encrypted user data; a decryption part for decrypting the encrypted first authentication key; a control part for unlocking the locked constitution information by using a second authentication key; and a management part for managing the data by using the first and second authentication keys. The management part unlocks the locked constitution information by using the second authentication key in the case of startup processing to restore the constitution information, and decrypts the encrypted first authentication key included in the constitution information, and unlocks the encrypted user data stored in the first storage part by using the decrypted first authentication key. |
