PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supersonic observation device capable of simply acquiring rough information such as presence/absence information and position information on an object in liquid in a wide range.SOLUTION: A supersonic observation device 10 includes: a signal transmission section 31 which makes a piezoelectric element 21 specified by an element specification section 32 output supersonic waves; a sensor section 20 which is constituted by linearly arranging a plurality of piezoelectric elements 21 so that an inclination angle &thetas;(&thetas;<&thetas;<&thetas;<&thetas;<&thetas;...) of the supersonic waves in a travel direction 22 sequentially becomes large; a support rod 24 (figure 2) which is provided in the sensor section 20 approximately vertical to the arrangement direction of the plurality of piezoelectric elements 21; a sensor operation section 25 which moves the sensor section 20 in the longitudinal direction of the support rod 24, rotates and displaces the sensor section 20 in the axial circumferential direction; and an image processing section 35 which performs imaging processing of an imaging area 23 on the basis of a displacement amount of the sensor section 20 along the perpendicular surface of an echo signal output by the piezoelectric element 21 and the support rod 24.
